Born in Adoni, India, Dr. Raja graduated from the Kurnool Medical College in Kurnool, India with a Master of Science in Ear, Nose, and Throat Disease. He is Board-Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of American Surgery. Dr. Raja did his residency in obstetrics at Flushing Hospital Medical Center, Flushing, NY. During his career providing women with quality pregnancy care, he has delivered over 6,000 babies, a number unprecedented by any previous physician in the Permian Basin. For the last two years, Dr. Raja has brought cutting-edge technology in both overactive bladder treatment and robotic surgery. He is the Director of the Regional Incontinence Center and Permian Women's Center.

In addition to his professional awards and recognition in his field, Dr. Raja is the former Chief of Staff of the Odessa Regional Medical Center, the Director of the Regional Incontinence Center, and the Vice President of the Permian Basin Health Network and Medical Center Hospital. He married Dr. Usha R. Kurra in 1988. They have lived in Odessa, TX since 1997 and have two children.
